Orange Bonnet Mushrooms and Marmot Skull

This is a hand painted little painting is roughly 4x6 inches in size. It was made using graphite, colored pencil, ink gouache and watercolor paint. This painting can be used as a wall hanging or whatever suits you!

This painting depicts orange bonnet mushrooms, a marmot skull, and a monarch butterfly. orange bonnet mushrooms are found in United Kingdom and North America. Even though these mushrooms have such vibrant color, they can be easily overlook because of the small size- there caps on average span to 1 centimeter wide. These tiny mushrooms like damp deciduous broadleaf woodlands where they grow in deep shade and attach themselves to dead sticks and leaves. Their colors ranges from light yellow to a dark orange and their unattached gills are a lighter color as well as their stem. Since these mushrooms are so small, they are unknown whether or not if they are toxic.
