indian paintbrush (prairie-fire)

$75.00

This original painting is 5x7 inches on watercolor paper
It was painted using gouache, watercolor, colored pencil and ink.

This series of work is meant to inspire adventure, promote diversity- and remember the precious moments of joy and peace we've encountered while outside.

Each work, is inspired by trails I've walked myself- either on my own or with others. As mentioned in my introduction to this series, I seek to promote diversity in my work- reflecting those who are not often represented in outdoor spaces. My hope is for everyone to be able to see themselves in this collection.

'Indian Paintbrush’ (prairie-fire) is one of Colorado’s many wildflowers! It grows from America’s midwest all the way to the south of Alaska. It can reach up to 2 feet in height and hummingbirds are their prominent pollinator. Even thought they are known for being red, they can be yellow, orange, purple or pink colored.

The painting is sold unframed. If you would like to have it framed before shipping, please personally message/email me. With an edition fee, I’d be happy to do this service for you so it can be hung directly onto your wall.
