This series of work is meant to inspire adventure, promote diversity- and remember the precious moments of joy and peace we've encountered while outside.

Each work, is inspired by trails I've walked myself- either on my own or with others. As mentioned in my introduction to this series, I seek to promote diversity in my work- reflecting those who are not often represented in outdoor spaces. My hope is for everyone to be able to see themselves in this collection.

'A Place of Memory' is based off a hike near Charlottesville, Virginia called 'Humpback Rock'. This trail is a popular shorter hike along the Blue Ridge mountains. It’s an out and back trail that’s pretty steep in elevation but just under two miles in length.

This hike in particular is perfect for catching the sunset or sunrise (since it’s not too long) and has gorgeous wildflowers and fun insects you can find in spring and summer. I have the most memories spent with friends and family hiking this trail. The view is always breath-taking and the rocks at the peak are fun to climb.

The painting is sold unframed. If you would like to have it framed before shipping, please personally message/email me. With an edition fee, I’d be happy to do this service for you so it can be hung directly onto your wall.
