This series of work is meant to inspire adventure, promote diversity- and remember the precious moments of joy and peace we've encountered while outside.

Each work, is inspired by trails I've walked myself- either on my own or with others. As mentioned in my introduction to this series, I seek to promote diversity in my work- reflecting those who are not often represented in outdoor spaces. My hope is for everyone to be able to see themselves in this collection.

'A Day Spent with Friends' is based off a hike in Colorado Springs called 'Mount Rosa'. This is a diverse trail with deep forests, rocky overlooks, and small creaks. It’s a pretty popular hike during peak season and is about 6.9 miles.

As a group, we walked through a deep wood along a certain part of the trail. One of our friends made a comment about the small evergreen trees we saw along the sides of the trail. He loved seeing the small trees growing and warned us not to disturb them because it takes such a long time for them to grow. It reminded me to be patient in seeing growth in my own life- to embrace the process by appreciating the small of change instead of impatiently waiting for the final outcome.

The painting is sold unframed. If you would like to have it framed before shipping, please personally message/email me. With an edition fee, I’d be happy to do this service for you so it can be hung directly onto your wall.
